I have opposed the war in Iraq from the beginning. I supported Dennis Kucinich in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. Getting out of Iraq was a central plank of his platform. 

Having said all that, I feel a little guilty introducing this sticker in mid-September of 2004. I should have done this much sooner. 

Better late than never. By coincidence, I designed this sticker on Sept. 12, one of the bloodiest days in Iraq in some time -- a day on which insurgents launched a series of coordinated attacks. Nearly sixty people died, including several U.S. soldiers. 

I have used a yellow script in this sticker to try to evoke thoughts of yellow ribbons. The background is a subtle field of raised stars. I hope this evokes patriotism without smacking of nationalism.
