Photos of Women in Black taken in Flagstaff, Arizona, January 10, 2004.
During 2003 and 2004, Members of Women in Black have gathered each Saturday afternoon from 4 to 5 p.m. in Flagstaff, Arizona to protest the war in Iraq. The protest takes place on Route 66 in front of City Hall. On the day these photos were taken, the gathering was larger than usual as the occasion also honored the recent passing of Flagstaff activist Bud Day. The gathering also honored local activists John Wahl and Bruce Green who passed away earlier in 2003. All photos by Dan Frazier.
